The LOOK Project identifies and helps those older children living in poor orphanages who have medical needs that are not being attended to by government or other charitable avenues. These may include:
* surgical and other medical procedures
* cosmetic surgery
* dental work
* prostheses
* physical therapy
* assistive devices such as eyeglasses, hearing aids, wheelchairs, or canes
The LOOK Project also strives to identify situations where the older children are residing in poor physical conditions and tries to remedy these problems. For example, LOOK may donate beds and/or new mattresses, heat/air conditioning units for the children's rooms, and warm winter coats, or may work to fix an identified environmental danger such as high lead levels or unsafe electrical wiring in an orphanage.
