A special LOOK Project area is the "care packages" program - - originally, LOOK was started with an intention to deliver care packages to children in the poorest orphanages to let them know that someone half a world away was thinking of them, and to make their day a little brighter.  Although LOOK project expanded to cover many more needs of the children, we continue to try to send as many children as possible a special care package with some age-appropriate gifts packaged together for their individual use (e.g. a small toy, a baseball cap or hair ribbons/barrettes, a new toothbrush and bar of soap, a pair of chopsticks and a drinking cup, a writing notepad with pens, or other similar items).  Each care package also includes a translated notecard that tells the child in both English and Mandarin Chinese that there are people from across the world who are wishing them well, and that encourages them to apply themselves to their studies.
