There are several poor orphanages that have been waiting a longer time for our support for their resident older children than we would have liked - - but with the recent record-cold winter and 2008 earthquakes in China, some of our funds were drawn away to help orphans impacted by those natural disasters. While this also was important, it does not comfort the child still waiting for a new pair of shoes that fit, or for a wheelchair so they can take trips outside of the orphanage. We need more donations to help us to meet the needs of all of these precious children.
